Officer elections will be held on May 24, 2013. We'll use instant runoff voting for any positions with more than three people running. The duties of the positions are as follows:
I. Co-Presidents:
The Co-Presidents spearhead: workshops, Kaleidoscope, Stand Against Racism, board meetings, and fundraisers (bakesales, etc). Co-Presidents keep each other in check, send emails about workshops, delegate duties, facilitate communication, take notes in the Secretary’s absence, maintain the blsimpACT board, and make sure that officers are working. But most importantly, the Co-Presidents have a vision, and strive to build sustainable work that future generations can improve upon. That’s why Co-Presidents are also in charge of updating the impACT binder.
II. Secretary:
The secretary takes notes at every impACT board meeting. If they are unavailable, they are responsible for notifying the Co-Presidents beforehand. Once notes are taken, the secretary must upload them onto a Google Doc and link all the officers within a week of the meeting. The Secretary is also in charge of entering data, creating spreadsheets/charts/graphs, and maintaining a log of workshop attendees.
III. Treasurer:
The treasurer is in charge of the money. They take care of reimbursements, buy food for impACT workshops with the treasury, and maintain a log of expenses and profits throughout the year. Also, they don’t lose the money.
IV. Art Director:
The Art Director creates flyers for workshops in a punctual manner, gets them approved by Mr. Flynn, and coordinates the effort to put them up. They are also responsible for the Extra Curricular Fair stand, and creating graphics.
V. Officer:
General officers facilitate and plan workshops, assist the other board members, and contribute ideas. They have the most freedom out of all the board members, and are expected to complete any delegated duties punctually.
